Madeleine Amgwerd (born August 1, 1946 in Biel / Bienne , resident in Sattel and Schwyz ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ).

Life

Amgwerd began her political career as the city parliamentarian of Delémont from 1985 to 1995. From 1996 to 2003 she was a member of the city government. From 1999 she was in the canton parliament of the canton Jura and parliamentary president in 2003. From 1998 to 2006 she was president of the CVP women law, and since 2009 she was vice-president of the CVP women Switzerland. From December 1, 2003 to December 2, 2007 she was a member of the Council of States .

Madeleine Amgwerd holds a degree in theology , is married and has three children.
