Madeleine Reiser

Madeleine Reiser (born February 15, 1952 in Göttingen ; † July 18, 2014 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( GREEN ). From 2000 to 2001 Reiser was a member of the Viennese municipal council and state parliament and from 2001 to 2013 deputy district chairwoman in the 7th district of Neubau .

Life

Reiser grew up in Switzerland and learned the profession of actress. Among other things, she played in the television series "Kottan determined". She then worked as a life and social counselor and between 1999 and 2004 worked as an employee in the City Hall Club of the Wiener Grünen . She had been a member of the Neubauer Greens since 1991 and was sworn in as a district councilor in 1992. On November 20, 2000, she replaced Hannelore Weber in the Vienna State Parliament and City Council, where she was a member of the Vienna Housing Commission. On April 27, 2001 Reiser resigned from the state parliament. After the election success of the Greens in Neubau, Reiser was elected the first Green Deputy District Leader on May 9, 2001. She was chairwoman of the new building culture commission, chairwoman of the district council and chairwoman of the finance committee, and senior representative. In June 2013, she resigned from her position as deputy district mayor and district councilor for health reasons. She died a year later after a serious illness.

Reiser was the mother of two children.
