Madonna and Child (Vineuil-Saint-Firmin)
The Madonna and Child window in the Catholic parish church of St-Firmin in Vineuil-Saint-Firmin , a French commune in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the mid-16th century. In 1886 the stained glass window was classified as a monument historique .
description
The two-part window in the choir is three meters high and 1.60 meters wide. It comes from an unknown workshop. It depicts Mary with the baby Jesus in the middle on the left and next to it Saint Dionysius of Paris , who holds his head in his hands. Above the apostle Peter with a key and on the right Saint Stephen with a martyr's palm can be seen. The coats of arms of Cardinal Adrien de Boissy, who probably donated the window, form the lower end .
The window was restored by Atelier Steinheil in 1881, adding the inscriptions at the bottom.
