Window of the Instruction of Mary (Vineuil-Saint-Firmin)
The Instruction of Mary window in the Catholic parish church of St-Firmin in Vineuil-Saint-Firmin , a French parish in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the mid-16th century. In 1886 the stained glass window was classified as a monument historique .
description
The two-part window in the apex of the choir is three meters high and 1.60 meters wide. It comes from an unknown workshop. In the middle left it shows Mary's instruction , Mary has a book in her hands, through her mother Anna and on the right next to it Saint Mary Magdalene . Above you can see Saint James the Elder (left) and Saint Francis of Assisi.
The crucifixion of Christ is shown in the tracery . The coats of arms of the donor couple, François de Montmorency and Catherine de Humières, can be seen at the bottom .
