Madrid Jazz Festival
The Madrid Jazz Festival is an international jazz festival that has been held in Madrid since 1981 from November to early December.
Venues include various theaters (such as Teatro Fernán Gómez, the main town, the Teatro Conde Duque, Teatro Circo Price), concert halls (such as the Auditorio Nacional), foreign cultural institutes and cultural centers, as well as clubs in Madrid.
In 2011, Pat Metheny , Randy Weston , Brad Mehldau performed together with Joshua Redman , Madeleine Peyroux , Roy Haynes , Fred Hersch and the guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela .
In 2012 (the year of the 29th festival), Paolo Fresu and Omar Sosa , a Miles Smiles Tribute to Miles Davis (by Wallace Roney , Omar Hakim , Rick Margitza , Ralphe Armstrong and Larry Coryell ), Tommy Emmanuel with Antonio Rey , Paquito D'Rivera , Robben Ford , Stacey Kent , the Cowboy Junkies and Ray Lema .
