Mads Langer
Mads Langer (born January 14, 1984 in Aabenraa ) is a Danish singer-songwriter who became famous with his cover version of the Olive song You're Not Alone .
Life
Mads Langer, whose parents are both teachers, started playing the piano at the age of three. He studied jazz piano at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and at the same time learned to play the guitar. His first album Attention Please was released in 2006 on the Copenhagen Records label. The album Mads Langer followed three years later and reached number 12 in the Danish charts. After club appearances in Europe, Los Angeles and New York, where Langer lived temporarily, he moved to London in 2009. There he met his manager, who helped him sign a contract with Sony Music Entertainment . His European breakthrough came in 2011 with the album Behold and the cover single You're Not Alone .
In 2011 Langer recorded the song Habits for her album Viktoria with Maria Mena . The following year he was the opening act with her on tour in Germany, where they performed the song in a duet.
At the end of November 2012 Langer released the album Behold Deluxe , which reached number 3 on the Danish charts the following month. The second CD of the album contains, among other things, three Danish-language songs that were previously released as singles. The most successful was the single Overgir mig slowomt , which went straight to number 1 in August 2012 and stayed in the Danish charts for 25 weeks.
