Majid

Majid (from Arabic مجد madschada , DMG maǧada '  to be glorious, to be highly praised') is the German spelling of two Arabic names or parts of their names. As with the similarly stored Hakim , they differ in that one with a long a and a short i (ماجد, DMG Māǧid ), vice versa Majīd (مجيد, DMG Maǧīd ). The differences in meaning are finer in Majid.
