River course
The Magalloway River arises at the confluence of the West Branch and Third East Branch Magalloway River in northwest Maine. From there it flows a short distance to the east, but then turns south and maintains its course for its entire route, being a maximum of 10 km from the north-south border with New Hampshire. The Magalloway River takes the Second East Branch on its way south and later the First East Branch on the left. Then it flows through the Parmachenee Lake and after another 5 km flows into the northern end of the Aziscohos Lake . He leaves this on the south-east bank below the dam. Now Maine State Route 16 runs along the river. The Magalloway River crosses the New Hampshire border further downstream. The Dead Diamond River flows into the river on the right. Finally, the Magalloway River flows into the Androscoggin River - immediately after it drains from Umbagog Lake . The Magalloway River has a length of about 80 km.
