Maggie Gray

Maggie Gray is a production designer .

Life

Gray first worked as an actress from 1969 and had episode roles in some Australian television series. In 1983 she began a second career with the film staff , where, in addition to the production design, she also took on various tasks in outdoor props . For one of her first feature films, Terry Gilliams Brazil , she was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design in 1986 together with Norman Garwood .

Between 1992 and 2003 she worked on the television series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones and numerous television films based on the series. In 1992 she was awarded the Primetime Emmy for this, the following year she was nominated for a further Emmy for a later episode of the series.

Her other films include The Pirate Bride , The Fifth Element and Agent Null Null Nix . For Jean-Marc Vallées Victoria, the young queen , she and Patrice Vermette were nominated again for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design in 2010 . This was her last film so far.
