Magnus Ingesson (born February 18, 1971 in Luleå ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .
Career
Ingesson, who started for the Piteå Elit , made his debut in the World Cup in Kavgolovo in January 1994 and finished 67th over 15 km classic. He got his first World Cup points in March 1996 in Oslo with 22nd place over 50 km classic. At the beginning of the 1998/99 season he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with sixth place in the 10 km freestyle in Muonio . In the further course of the season he came three times in the points and thus reached the 44th place in the overall World Cup. Also in the season he was Swedish champion , with the season of Piteå Elit. In the following season he came in all eight World Cup appearances in the points. He achieved his best individual result in the World Cup with fifth place in the 15 km freestyle in Sappada and finished 42nd in the overall World Cup at the end of the season. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2001 in Lahti , he won the silver medal with the relay. He also achieved 42nd place over 50 km freestyle, 31st place in skiathlon and ninth place over 15 km classic. In the following year he achieved the 16th place over 50 km classic and eighth place over 15 km classic at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . He ran his last World Cup race in February 2004 in Umeå , which he finished in 50th place over 15 km classic and 15th place with the relay.
