Préfailles ( Breton : Pradvael , Gallo : Préfaylh ) is a French municipality with 1246 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Nazaire and is part of the canton of Pornic . The inhabitants are called Préfaillais .

geography

Préfailles is located about 51 kilometers west-southwest of Nantes in the Pays de Retz on the Atlantic coast . Préfailles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Plaine-sur-Mer in the north and Pornic in the east.
