Saint-Malo-de-Guersac ( Breton : Sant-Malou Gwersac'h ) is a French municipality with 3166 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Nazaire and the canton of Saint-Nazaire-2 . The inhabitants are called Malouins .
geography
Saint-Malo-de-Guersac is located in the Brière countryside on the Brivet River . The municipality is partly part of the Brière Regional Nature Park . Saint-Malo-de-Guersac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Joachim in the north and west, Crossac in the northeast, Donges in the east and southeast, and Montoir-de-Bretagne in the south.

In 1925 the municipality was formed from the neighboring municipality of Montoir-de-Bretagne.
