Saint-Lyphard ( Breton Sant-Lefer ) is a French municipality with 4760 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Nazaire and the canton of Guérande (until 2015: canton of Herbignac ). The inhabitants are called Lyphardais .
geography
Saint-Lyphard is located in the north-west of the department in the Brière countryside . The municipality is part of the Brière Regional Nature Park . Saint-Lyphard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Herbignac in the north, Saint-Joachim in the east, Saint-André-des-Eaux in the south and Guérande in the south and west.
