Saint-Molf ( Breton Sant-Molf ) is a commune with 2,622 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Saint-Molf belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Nazaire and the canton of Guérande . The inhabitants are called mendulphins .

geography

Saint-Molf is located near the Atlantic coast (Bay of Biscay) on the Guérande peninsula in the Brière Regional Nature Park (French: Parc naturel régional de Brière ) with numerous salt marshes ( Marais ). Saint-Molf is surrounded by the neighboring communities Assérac in the north, Herbignac in the east and northeast, Guérande in the south, La Turballe in the southwest and Mesquer in the west.
