Piriac-sur-Mer ( Breton Penc'herieg ) is a French municipality with 2245 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Piriac-sur-Mer belongs to the Arrondissement of Saint-Nazaire and the Canton of Guérande . The inhabitants are called Piriacais (es) .
geography
Piriac-sur-Mer is the westernmost municipality in the Loire-Atlantique department. It is located on the Atlantic coast (Bay of Biscay) on the La Baule peninsula . Piriac-sur-Mer is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mesquer in the northeast and La Turballe in the southeast.
