Magnus Jung (born October 28, 1971 in Wadern ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Saarland state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1991, Magnus Jung studied political science at Saarland University from 1992 to 1997 . Between school and university he did his community service in geriatric care. In 2004, he graduated as Dr. phil at the Free University of Berlin .

From 1997 to 2001 he worked at the training center in Burbach in the consultation, placement and educational support of difficult-to-place young people. From 2004 to 2009 he worked as a freelancer. Among other things, he worked in the areas of political advice, media advice, lecturing and journalism.

politics

Magnus Jung joined the SPD in 1988. He has been chairman of the SPD Kastel since 2001 and of the St. Wendel district association since 2006. Jung has been a member of the St. Wendel district council since 1999 and has been parliamentary group chairman for his party since 2003.

In the state elections in Saarland in 2009 , Magnus Jung was elected to the state parliament of Saarland. He sits in Parliament as chairman of the subcommittee on budgetary accounting . As a simple member, he is in the Committee on Home Affairs and Data Protection and in the Committee on Economy, Science and Mine Safety.
