Magnus Samuelsson (born December 21, 1969 ) is a Swedish actor and strongman who won the title of World's Strongest Man in Morocco in 1998 . He is also a six-time winner of Sweden's Strongest Man .

Life

Samuelsson grew up on a farm in Sweden and is a farmer by profession. With his wife Kristin (who has already won the title Sweden's Strongest Woman twice) he has a son, David.

In the mid-1980s, he and his brother Torbjörn saw Icelandic weightlifter and powerlifting Jón Páll Sigmarsson , who was then reigning World's Strongest Man , on television . Many training units followed in the mother's washroom, which served as a fitness studio in the first few years . On his first bench press attempt, Samuelsson already managed 100 kilograms.

He campaigns against doping abuse in the form of anabolic steroids and other illegal, performance-enhancing agents. He describes himself as clean and an example of the fact that success can also be achieved without doping ("My ambition was to see how strong I could get, and I am totally clean, which proves that success is possible without drugs.").

He is one of only five men in the world who closed the number 4 Captains of Crush Gripper under authentic conditions.

He was also successful in arm wrestling .

In the film adaptations of Arne Dahl's books about the A group of the Swedish police, responsible for investigations into violent crimes with an international connection, (to be seen on Swedish television from autumn 2011) he plays the police officer Gunnar Nyberg.
