Bill Kazmaier (born December 30, 1953 in Burlington , Wisconsin) is an American powerlifter , world strongman champion and professional wrestler .

Life

Kazmaier's grandfather was born in Germany in 1871. In 1980 he claimed of himself that he was "the strongest man who ever lived". In 1991 Kazmaier received the Guinness Book of Records as the “strongest man in the world”. In 1980, he became the first person to break the 300 kg (661 lb) bench press .
