The Maidantal ( Kazakh Майдантал ; Uzbek Maydontol ; Russian Майданта́л ) is the right source river of the Piskom in Turkistan ( Kazakhstan ) and in Uzbekistan .
The Maidantal rises in southern Kazakhstan in the north of the Maydontol ridge at its junction with the Talas-Alatau . Initially it flows in a westerly direction, later in a south-westerly and southerly direction. The valley of the Maidantal separates the east running Maydontol ridge from the west running Ugom Mountains . Shortly before the confluence with the Oygaying flowing in from the east and its union to the Piskom, the river crosses the border to Uzbekistan. The Maidantal has a length of 49 km. It drains an area of 471 km². The mean discharge is 16.3 m³ / s.
The course of the Maidantal river on the Kazakh side lies within the Aqsu-Schabaghyly nature reserve .
