The Talas Alatau ( kirghiz Талас Ала-Тоосу ; Kazakh Талас Алатауы ; Uzbekistan Talas Olatov tizmasi; Russian Таласский Ала-Тоо ) is one to 4484.3 m high mountains in Kyrgyzstan , Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan ( Central Asia ).
The Talas-Alatau, which extends in the far west of the Tianshan , is predominantly in Kyrgyzstan; Foothills are in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It rises in the north-west of the state south of the city of Talas and east of the southern Kazakh city of Taras and connects to the south of the Kyrgyz mountains , which rise north of the Talas river . Towards the south the mountains descend to the valley of the Naryns . It extends over a length of 270 km. The western foothills of the Talas-Alatau extend into southern Kazakhstan and eastern Uzbekistan. The source rivers of the Piskom and the Chatkal arise on the southern flank of the mountains . The highest mountain of Talas-Alatau is Manas (kirg. Манас чокусу Manas tschokusu; 4484.3 m ).
