Maik Beermann (born October 19, 1981 in Nienburg / Weser ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was elected to the 18th German Bundestag in the 2013 federal election.

Life

After graduating from secondary school, Beermann trained as a banker . Since 2009 he has been Head of the Market Area at Sparkasse Nienburg . He is Protestant, married and has three daughters. Maik Beermann lives in the Wendenborstel district of Steimbke in the Nienburg district .

Political commitment

Beermann joined the Junge Union in 1997 and the CDU in 2001. From 2007 to 2012 he was the district chairman of the Junge Union in the Nienburg district. He has been active as a councilor in local politics since 2001 and became deputy mayor of Steimbke in 2011.

From 2006 to 2016 he was a member of the Steimbke joint municipal council and had been chairman of the school committee and member of the financial committee of the joint municipal council since 2011. Since the local elections in 2016, he has been a member of the district council in the district of Nienburg and was elected deputy district administrator. He is a member of the district committee in the district council.

MP

In the federal election in 2013 he ran for the direct mandate in constituency 40 Nienburg II - Schaumburg , but could not win this despite 41.6 percent of the first votes against Sebastian Edathy ( SPD ). However, he was elected to the Bundestag at number 26 on the CDU state list of Lower Saxony. In August 2016 he was again put up as a direct candidate and in May 2017 he was re-elected to 26th place on the CDU state list.

Beermann is a full member of the Committee for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and the Committee for Digital Agenda . He is a deputy member of the Committee on Food and Agriculture and the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure . He is also a deputy in the parliamentary advisory council for sustainable development and a member of the young group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group .

Volunteering

Beermann is the 1st chairman of the shooting club Wendenborstel e. V., member of the Spielmannszug Steimbke, DLRG , Sozialverband Deutschland , AWO Schaumburg, Hannover 96, secretary at SG Wendenborstel eV and the fire brigade in Wendenborstel.
