Maika Alex

Maika Alex (born October 8, 1968 ) is a former German soccer player .

Life

Maika Alex played for SG Handwerk Magdeburg in the North Staffel in the GDR's best determination until 1990 . The former swimmer played most of her career in attacking midfield. Against Robotron Leipzig, she scored one more goal to make it 1-0. Later she played successfully as a goalkeeper due to personnel problems.

After the political change, she moved with the team to SV Fortuna Magdeburg . In 1990 she was a goalkeeper in the squad for the only international match of the GDR women's national team against the ČSSR . From 2000 to 2004 she played for SV 1889 Altenweddingen and then again for the Magdeburg FFC in the Regionalliga. In 2007 she ended her career. In August 2007 she was still in the first round of the DFB Cup in the 1: 6 against SG Wattenscheid in goal.
