The Mainoru River is a river in the north of the Australian territory Northern Territory .

geography

River course

The river has its source in the west of Arnhem Land and flows to the southeast. At Mainoru Store, it crosses Central Arnhem Road and continues south-east to the Mainoru settlement . There it turns east and flows west of Mount Bray into the Wilton River .

In the lower reaches of the Mainoru River forms a wide flood plain in which many canals run parallel.
