Maison Escure
The Maison Escure in Salers , a French commune in the Cantal department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , was built in 1657. The portal of the residential building on Rue de la Martille, which leads to Porte de la Martille , has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1951 .
The portal with a narrow stone border is crowned by a semicircular arch on pilasters , a kind of tympanum , in which a coat of arms with the year 1657 is located in a circle. To the left and right of it are two reliefs of human heads.
In the two-storey house with quarry stone masonry made from local basalt , guest rooms are furnished for tourists.
