The Malanphulan (also Melanphulan or Malangphutang ) is a six-thousander in the Khumbu region in Nepal , southeast of Pangboche in the so-called Hinku Himal .
The 6573 m high Malanphulan is connected to the Kangtega ( 6783 m ) to the west by a mountain ridge. A mountain ridge leads east from Malanphulan and later splits north, east and south. To the north, the ridge continues over the 5817 m high Mingbo La to Ama Dablam ( 6856 m ). To the south, a ridge leads from the junction to Peak 41 ( 6623 m ). The Hinku-Shar Glacier stretches on the southeast flank of the Malanphulan and the Hinku-Nup Glacier on the west flank . The north flank is drained to Imja Khola .
Ascent history
Peter Carse and Supy Bullard climbed Malanphulan on April 28, 2000. The ascent route led over the west face of the mountain.
