The Peak 41 ( Peak English for "summit") is a six-thousanders in the Khumbu region in Nepal in the so-called Hinku Himal .
The 6654 m high Peak 41 is located 24 km south of Mount Everest . A ridge leads north from Peak 41 to a junction point. From this a mountain ridge leads west to Malanphulan and another mountain ridge further north to Ama Dablam . To the south the ridge leads to the 5415 m high Mera La , a transition to Mera Peak ( 6476 m ) in the south . The Hunku Drangka flows south along the eastern flank of Peak 41 . The western summit of the Chamlang ( 7319 m ) rises on the opposite side of the valley . The western flank of Peak 41 is drained via the Hinku Drangka .
Ascent history
A Slovenian mountaineering group managed the first official ascent of Peak 41 in October 2002. The ascent route led over the west face and the north ridge to the summit. There may have been unauthorized ascents of Peak 41 before that.
