Malik Allen (born June 27, 1978 in Willingboro , New Jersey ) is a retired American basketball player who plays for the Orlando Magic in the NBA . He is 208 cm tall and plays in the power forward position .

Career

After four years at Villanova University , Allen was not included in the 2000 NBA Draft . He began his career in the ABA with the San Diego Wildfire and in the International Basketball League with Trenton in the 2000/2001 season. On July 20, 2001, he was signed by Miami Heat and now played for the first time in the NBA. He stayed there until he joined the Charlotte Bobcats on February 24, 2005 . On September 2, 2005, he signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Bulls . During his two seasons with the Bulls, Allen played 114 games, averaging 4.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. On 10 September 2007 signed Allen a one-year contract, the New Jersey Nets with a transfer fee of 964.636 US dollars . Together with Jason Kidd and Antoine Wright , he was exchanged on February 19, 2008 for other players to the Dallas Mavericks . With Tyronn Lue he signed on July 17, 2008 a contract with the Milwaukee Bucks .
