Malky is a band from Berlin originally based in Leipzig . The band consists of the singer Daniel Stoyanov and the producer Michael Vajna. Like Stoyanov, the name comes from Bulgarian and means "little one" (plural, in the sense of "children")

history

The two musicians met in Mannheim and have been working as songwriters for other artists and as background singers for years. Together, the duo moved to Leipzig in 2011 and in 2013 they released the first EP Diamonds on their own label Eighty Days Records.

Recorded in her own attic apartment, her debut album Soon was released on June 27, 2014 , which, according to Vajna, sounds earthy and woody. The music is accompanied by light electronic sounds and piano. The Tagesspiegel wrote: “... the songs on their debut album sound surprisingly powerful and polished, there are heartfelt melodies and wonderful world hugging pop. It just doesn't seem naive at all. "

In the late summer of 2016, Sony will release the new album Where is Piemont?
