The Inselradio Mallorca (formerly Mallorca 95.8 ) is a German-speaking radio station on the Balearic island of Mallorca . The broadcast studio is located on the Paseo Maritimo, the port promenade of the capital Palma .

The island radio broadcasts its program on Mallorca on the frequency 95.8 MHz and in the north and east of Mallorca on the VHF frequency 96.9 MHz. Beyond the Balearic Islands, the station can be received worldwide via stream on the Internet and via phonecast . The English-language subsidiary channel Mallorca Sunshine Radio can be received on 106.1FM. The possibility of reception via satellite ( Astra 19.2 ° East, identifier "Inselradio") in Central and Southern Europe has not existed since May 2020. The station is financed exclusively from advertising income. The majority of advertisers are local companies and businesses.

In addition to the two German weekly newspapers Mallorca Zeitung and Mallorca Magazin , the station provides information in German about news from Mallorca, Germany and the world. The music selection focuses on the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s as well as current music. The mix between English, German and Spanish titles is decisive. The station itself advertises the "sun-optimized mix for Mallorca". The so-called Ballermann music does not appear in the music selection.

The station is aimed primarily at German residents and employees as well as German-speaking tourists. For example, Spanish or Mallorcan traditions, festivals and customs are explained and events are pointed out.
