Malmîsanij

Malmîsanij with real name Mehmet Tayfun (* 1952 in Diyarbakır ) is a Kurdish writer and author. He attended Ankara University and was arrested three times for political activities between 1975 and 1981. In 1982 he went to Sweden . He continued his studies abroad, studying Iranian Studies at the Sorbonne , Iranian Languages at Uppsala University and Folk Education at Linköping University . In addition, he graduated with a master's degree from Gothenburg University.

Malmîsanij mostly writes in Zazaisch and also in Turkish . After the writers Ehmedê Xasi and Usman Efendiyo Babiji , who wrote at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, Malmîsanij is the first to recreate Zaza literature. In the 1970s he and a few friends published the magazine Tirêj , half of which was in Zazaisch and half in Kurmanji . In 1987 he published the first dictionary for Zazaisch.

Another merit was that he transcribed the works of Xasi and Babiji from the Arabic into the Latin script. He also translated Persian and Turkish books into Zaza. In addition, he worked in several magazines with a. a .:

Malmîsanij also transcribed the diaries of Celadet Ali Bedirxan into Latin script and edited the book Na Xumxuma by Koyo Berz. Some of his works have been translated into Swedish, French and Arabic.
