The Malmö FBC is a Swedish floorball club from the city of Malmö. The women's team plays in the top division. The men play in the second highest Swedish league.

history

founding

The association was created on March 8, 2007 from the merger of IK Stanstad and IBF Backalirarna.

First successes

Ladies

In 2014 the club was about to move up to the top division, but missed it due to two defeats in the promotion games. A year later, the women were again in first place in the table after the regular season. In the promotion games, the team eliminated Linköping IBK and Fröjereds IF and is therefore in the Svenska Superligan for the first time in 2015/16 .

The first season in the SSL finished in ninth place. In the second season they qualified for the playoffs for the first time, but failed in the quarter-finals at IKSU.

Men's

In 2015/16 the men managed to finish Division 1 Södra Götaland in first place and thus took part in the promotion games for the Allsvenskan. There they defeated IBK Vöikers in two games and then in three games Lagan IBK. In the first season the men finished ninth.

Stadion

The first teams play in the Baltiska Hallen, which has space for 700 spectators.
