The Telge SIBK is a Swedish sports club in Södertälje . The club's flagship is the women's team.

history

founding

Telge SIBK is a two-sport sports club, including ice hockey and floorball. In 2003 the club merged with Linda IK and became Sörmland 's largest floorball club. In 2013 Södertälje IBK / IBS also joined the association.

Floorball

Adventure Division 1

In 2008 the women were promoted to Division 1 Östra. In Division 1 they reached the sixth final rank in their first season. The second season was clearly successful and they only missed first place by six points. On the 2010/11 they were reallocated from the eastern to the central group. In this, the women managed to finish the season in first place. This made it possible to participate in the promotion games for the elite series, in which they could not manage the promotion. In the following season, the team had it much more difficult and ended the season in sixth place. In 2012/13, the club finished the division again in first place. In the promotion games they lost to FBC Uppsala, Sala Silverstaden IBK and Warberg IC . In the coming season Telge managed again to qualify for the promotion games. In the first round of the new mode, Hässelby eliminated SK IBK in three games. In round two they eliminated the IBF Dalen and are thus for the first time in the club's history in the top Swedish league.

Ascent and descent

During the 2017/15 season, the women's team won only four times and drawn three times in 26 games. They finished 14th and last rank in the first season in the top division. So you got down again in Division 1. This time the club was assigned to the western group, which they won with only two defeats. In the promotion games, the women at FBC Kalmarsund lost in three games. In 2016/17 the women played in Allsvenskan Östra, which they won by eight points over the IBF Falun. In the promotion games, Falun prevailed and will play in the top division for the second time from the 2017/18 season.

The first SIBK teams play in the Västergard Arena in the city center. The hall has a capacity of 1200 people, with 918 people in the stands.
