Malong (马龙 区; Pinyin : Mǎlóng Qū ) is a municipality in the east of the Chinese province of Yunnan . It belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture city of Qujing and is located in the west of Qujing. Malong manages an area of 1614 square kilometers and had a population of around 210,000 at the end of 2017.
The urban center of Malong is 90 kilometers from the provincial capital, Kunming . The annual average temperature is 13.6 ° C.
The 2000 census showed a total population of 185,766 people in 50,328 households, of whom 96,343 were men and 89,423 women.
Administrative structure
At the municipal level, the city district was made up of five street districts , two large municipalities and three municipalities at the end of 2018 . These are:
- Road quarter Tongquan (通泉街道) Jitoucun (鸡头村街道)
- Large communities Maguohe (马过河镇) Nazhang (纳章镇) Wangjiazhuang (王家庄街道) Zhang'antun (张安屯街道) Jiuxian (旧县街道)
- Communities Maming (马鸣乡) Dazhuang (大庄乡) Yuewang (月望乡)
The seat of the Malong government is in the Tongquan street district .
