Mammoth Bloody Mammoth is an EP by the Australian hard / stoner rock band Mammoth Mammoth . The EP was released on February 19, 2016 via Napalm Records .
Emergence
On the occasion of the European tour announced for spring 2016 with the bands My Sleeping Karma and Greenleaf , Mammoth Mammoth released an EP with four titles. The songs were written during the band's various tours. The songs Taste Your Blood and Drugs are new compositions, while Kick Out the Jams , a cover version of MC5 , always concluded the concerts of Mammoth Mammoth. In addition, the song Dead Sea was remastered . The EP was recorded between two tours. The title of the EP pays homage to the album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by Black Sabbath . The EP was released on digipak CD and on black and red vinyl.

reception
According to Wolfgang Liu Kuhn from the German magazine Rock Hard, “the EP stomps through the Australian bush in a tried and tested manner”, with the new songs “marching forward with comparative determination”. On the other hand, Kuhn described the MC5 cover version as "rather unspectacular". Kuhn did not award a grade. For Marco Berghammer from the German magazine Rock It! the EP is fun and would leave a lot of scorched earth behind for its quarter of an hour of play. Berghammer rated the EP with seven out of ten points.
