The Mandarich Massif is a rugged and in plan view y -shaped massif in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 1860 m high on the southern flank of the Byrd Glacier between the confluences of the Brecher Glacier and the Twombley Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2003 after Captain (later Admiral ) Stevan Mandarich (1911-2001) of the United States Navy , chief of staff under Richard Evelyn Byrd in the first Operation Deep Freeze (1955-1956).
