Manfred Bandmann

Manfred Bandmann (born January 10, 1947 in Düsseldorf ) is a German engineer . He was chairman of the management board of the professional association for the construction industry .

Life

Manfred Bandmann studied civil engineering at RWTH Aachen University until 1973 . After his first few years at Hochtief AG , he moved to the civil engineering trade association (TBG) in 1977. Bandmann completed his training as a technical supervisory officer there. In 1990 he became managing director of the civil engineering professional association; since 2005 he has been a member of the management of the merged professional association of the construction industry (BG BAU) and from 2007 chairman of the management. At the beginning of October 2010 his active time in the management of BG ended. Bandmann is involved in numerous specialist committees and bodies. Since 1997 he has been an honorary professor at the Technical University of Munich , especially in the areas of security and prevention. From 1998 to 2009 he was President of the German Road Safety Council ( DVR) and member of the Director Board of the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC). From June 2009 to July 2012 he was managing director of the professional association for medical treatment Murnau eV, the supporting association of the professional association accident clinic Murnau.

Bandmann has been a member of the CV of the Catholic student association KDStV Kaiserpfalz Aachen since 1968 . He is an honorary member of the Study Society for Underground Transport Systems (STUVA). He lives in Munich.

Honors

  • In 2003 he was awarded the Golden Diesel Ring by the Association of Motor Journalists (VdM) for special services to road safety.
  • In 2006 he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by the Federal Minister for Transport, Building and Urban Development Wolfgang Tiefensee .
  • In 2008 he received the Golden Badge of Honor from the German Society for Trauma Surgery.
