Manfred Bochmann
Manfred Bochmann (born March 15, 1928 in Zschorlau ; † November 18, 2011 ) was a German politician and minister of geology in the GDR .
Life
After training as a toolmaker, Bochmann completed a degree in economics and became a full-time SED functionary. In 1967 he received his doctorate as Dr.-Ing. with the together with Günther Lingott -made work "Towards an improvement of the line of work collectives in the complex rationalization of work processes by developing Besttechnologien and their introduction as type technologies. Investigated using the example of the SDAG Wismut ” . From 1962 to 1967 he was Secretary for Economics in the Wismut area management , then State Secretary until 1974 and Minister for Geology until 1989. In 1974 he received the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver, 1984 in gold, in 1978 the Order of the Labor Banner and in 1988 the Star of Friendship of Nations .
