Manfred Brunner is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Brunner achieved second place behind Harry Glaß at the district championship of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1955 . Between 1957 and 1959 he started at the Four Hills Tournament . In the Four Hills Tournament 1957/58 he reached after a 35th place in Oberstdorf , a 21st place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , a 14th place in Innsbruck and a 10th place in Bischofshofen the 16th place in the tour overall ranking. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1958 , he reached 53rd place in individual jumping with jumps on 66.5 and 64.5 meters. In the following year at the Four Hills Tournament in 1958/59 he was able to achieve placements in the top thirty, but lagged behind the successes of the previous year. At the end of the tour he was in 21st place overall. At the II. International Nordic Skiing Competitions on the Aschbergschanze in Klingenthal , Brunner won the special jumping with two jumps on 88 meters ahead of the Yugoslav Marian Pecan and his compatriot Manfred Glaß .
