Manfred David

Manfred "Dave" David (born January 25, 1950 in Crailsheim ; † March 31, 2011 ibid) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Career

From 1971 to 1973 David was a representative of the Stadtjugendring in the Crailsheim municipal council, of which he was elected as a regular member in June 1980. His sixth and final re-election took place on June 7, 2009. In 1991 he succeeded Egon Kuhr as chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in Crailsheim's municipal council.

David was chairman of the tax office's staff council. From 1985 the financial specialist and tax inspector was also a member of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Crailsheim GmbH and from 1999 of its subsidiary ecoSwitch AG. He was also the administrator of the Ratskeller and a founding member of the cabaret initiative “KiC”. From 1969 David was active in the committee of the volunteer fire brigade and acquired the badge in bronze in May 1975. He has received several awards and honors for his voluntary work, among other things as part of the Crailsheim cultural weekend and the organization of the city holiday.

David had been married since 1976 and lived with his family in the Crailsheim district of Altenmünster . He died in March 2011 after a serious illness, leaving behind a son and a daughter.
