Manfred Drennig

Manfred Drennig (born October 19, 1940 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager, author and politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

In 1962 Drennig received his doctorate as Dr. jur. at the University of Vienna . Drennig began his professional career in 1963 in the management of the Girozentrale of the Austrian savings banks under Josef Taus . With 1974 appointment to the management of the Wiener Holding . 1981 move to the board of directors of the Länderbank , where he was deputy general director until 1992. From 1992 to 2002 various functions in the construction industry, most recently head of finance and project development at STRABAG Germany. Drennig has been a partner in the Privatconsult asset management company in Vienna since 2002.

politics

Drennig became a part-time member of the board of the Vienna Chamber of Labor in 1969 and was a member of the Austrian advisory board for economic and social issues as an economic policy advisor for the Christian trade unionist group . In 1970 he was federal parliamentary group chairman of the ÖAAB in the Austrian Chamber of Labor and in this function a member of the federal party leadership of the ÖVP. From 1971 Drennig was an economic policy advisor at the ÖAAB. With 1973 municipal councilor and member of the state parliament in Vienna. From 1990 Drennig was section chairman of the credit section of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (member of the section management since 1986).
