Manfred Hepperle

Manfred Hepperle (born June 24, 1931 in Ravensburg , Baden-Württemberg ; † April 3, 2012 there ) was a German dialect poet , cabaret artist , radio play author and illustrator .

Life

Hepperle was a grandson of Hans Mantz , who was Lord Mayor of Ravensburg from 1921 to 1932, and the son of an architect.

He attended the Oberrealschule in Ravensburg and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Walter Brudi . To finance his studies, he worked and studied alternating semesters.

In 1960 he co-founded the advertising agency "Pro-Werbung" in Ravensburg. There he worked as a graphic designer and copywriter until 1990. Mullermilch's corporate design was one of his works .

Hepperle's books, which mostly contain bizarre dialect poetry, were illustrated by himself with caricatures and cartoons.

He wrote skits for Südwestfunk , in which he himself participated in radio drama and television, including 42 episodes of the series "Ravensburger Moritheater".

With Gabi Walser and Wolfgang Engelberger he formed the dialect group Maulart-Cabaret , with which he had around 500 appearances in six programs from 1991.

Awards

At the first awarding of the Upper Swabian Cabaret Prize Ravensburger Kupferle in 1989, Hepperle was one of the winners. In 2004 he received this award again with the Maulart-Cabaret group .

In 2011, Hepperle received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .
