Manfred Humbs

Manfred Humbs (born March 26, 1926 in Schwandorf ; † October 16, 2000 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Humbs attended elementary school and a music high school, then was a soldier in World War II and then a musician. After entering his parents' business, which dealt with tobacco and sugar confectionery, he attended the commercial school in Regensburg and also built up a tobacco goods wholesaler. After studying at the Pedagogical University in Regensburg and passing the second teaching examination, he was a teacher at secondary schools in Schwandorf. In 1974 he sold his business after his mother passed away.

In 1964, Humbs joined the CSU. There he was district chairman in the city and then in the district of Schwandorf as well as city and district council. From 1978 to 1986 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
