Manfred Lochbrunner

Manfred Lochbrunner (born November 26, 1945 in Derndorf , Unterallgäu ) is a German theologian and dogmatist .

Life

Manfred Lochbrunner studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He also completed a vocal training at the Roman Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia , one of the oldest music academies in the world. In 1972 he was ordained a priest in Rome. In 1979 he was at the theological faculty of the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg with a thesis on the theology of Hans Urs von Balthasar to doctor of theology doctorate . In 1993 he completed his habilitation at the theological faculty of the University of Augsburg with a work on the priestly image of John Chrysostom .

From 1998 to 2006 he taught as a private lecturer ; In 2006 he received a call on the Chair of Catholic dogma and history of dogma at the seminary Redemptoris Mater of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Berlin . Since 2007 he has also been a full professor for dogmatics and the history of dogma at the Gustav Siewerth Academy in Weilheim-Bierbronnen .

As parish administrator, he heads the parish of St. Stephan in Bonstetten .
