Manfred Matthäi is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Matthäi played his first and only international tournament with the Four Hills Tournament in 1958/59 . At the opening competition on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf he missed a good result in 52nd place. Already at the New Year's competition on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he surprised with 12th place. Also in Innsbruck on the Bergiselschanze he achieved a good top 20 rank with rank 15. He finally finished the tour with 21st place on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen. In the overall ranking, Matthäi reached 23rd place with 746.5 points.

In 1997, Matthäi was committed to founding the Mengersgereuth-Hammern ski club .
