Manfred Sader (politician)

Manfred Sader (born September 1, 1936 in Schönfließ ; † December 20, 2009 there ) was a German politician ( SED ). He was the Lord Mayor of Schwedt and later of Eisenhüttenstadt in the GDR .

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied in Dresden, became a graduate engineer and from 1972 worked as deputy production director at the Eisenhüttenkombinat Eisenhüttenstadt . In 1960 he became a member of the SED. Until 1979 he was chairman of the Eisenhüttenstadt city plan commission.

From January 19, 1979 to 1983 he was Lord Mayor of Schwedt (successor to Klaus-Dieter Hahn). After further studies, he was Lord Mayor of Eisenhüttenstadt from September 1985 until his departure due to illness on December 21, 1988 (successor to Werner Viertel). Sader was a member of the secretariat of the SED district leaderships in Schwedt and Eisenhüttenstadt. On September 19, 1986, he sealed the first German-German town twinning between Saarlouis and Eisenhüttenstadt in Saarland .

Sader was married and had three children.
