Manfred Schuster (born February 14, 1958 in Kaufbeuren ) is a former German ice hockey player and the brother of Gerhard Schuster .

Career

Manfred Schuster comes from the offspring of ESV Kaufbeuren , where he played until 1990 and, together with Dieter Medicus , formed the so-called “Kaufbeurer city wall” as a pair of defenders . He then moved to the Cologne EC and the EC Hedos Munich before he moved to the Heilbronner EC in 1993 and ended his career there after the 1994/95 season in the 1st League South .

Internationally, he took part in the U20 World Cup in 1977 and 1978, and in the senior division in the 1988 Winter Olympics and in the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1985 , 1986 and 1987 .

Today Manfred Schuster plays for the senior team of ESV Kaufbeuren and took part in charity games for the Sternstund team.

In 2005 he took part in the 2nd Lothar Kremershof Cup in Krefeld with the “German Selects” team and in 2014 in the Senior Ice Hockey World Championship.
