Manfred Thon

Manfred Thon (born March 13, 1935 in Braschwitz ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Education and life

Manfred Thon attended elementary school, elementary school and a master’s course, which he completed as a master of agriculture. After completing a distance learning course at a technical college, he became a state-certified farmer. From 1951 he worked as an agricultural assistant, from 1958 as a group leader, brigade leader and department head in an LPG . After ecclesiastical distance learning he was in the church service from 1968 and a Protestant pastor from 1971.

Manfred Thon is married and has four children.

Manfred Thon has been a member of the CDU since 1953. He was the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 in parliament constituency Eisleben selected (WK 39) directly into the state parliament. From October 1990 to December 1991 he was a member of the CDU parliamentary group, from which he resigned because of Stasi allegations, and has been non-attached since then.
