Braschwitz is a village in the town of Landsberg in the Saale district in Saxony-Anhalt . In addition to Braschwitz, the village includes the district of Plößnitz . Braschwitz is five kilometers east of Halle (Saale) .

history

Braschwitz belonged to the Giebichenstein office in the hall circle of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg . With its annexation to Prussia, from 1680 it belonged to the Brandenburg-Prussian Duchy of Magdeburg .

With the Peace of Tilsit in 1807, Braschwitz was incorporated into the Kingdom of Westphalia and assigned to the Halle district in the Saale department. He belonged to the Halle-Land . After Napoleon's defeat and the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia, Napoleon's allied opponents liberated the Saalkreis in early October 1813. During the political reorganization after the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the place was attached to the administrative district of Merseburg in the Prussian province of Saxony and assigned to the Saalkreis.

On July 1, 1950, Plößnitz was incorporated into Braschwitz. On April 20, 2010 Braschwitz was incorporated into Landsberg. Since then Braschwitz has been part of the city of Landsberg.

Braschwitz is close to Bundesstraße 100 , which leads from Halle in the direction of Bitterfeld . There is access to the A 9 ( Munich - Berlin ) and A 14 ( Nossen - Magdeburg ) junctions via the federal road . Braschwitz is on the Magdeburg – Leipzig railway line . The next stop is Zöberitz .

Buildings

The cultural monuments of the place are registered in the local monument register. Including the Sankt-Nicolai-Kirche and the monument area in the center of the village, Brunnenstrasse 9–20, 23 .
