Reinsdorf is a district of the locality and town of Landsberg in the Saalekreis in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

geography

Reinsdorf is located south of Landsberg between Halle (Saale) in the west and Delitzsch in the east near the state border with Saxony. The place is west of the Strengbach , a tributary of the Fuhne .

history

Reinsdorf was first mentioned in 1284 as "Reimarsdorf". Ecclesiastically, the place belonged to Gollma , with which it is still connected via an avenue of lime trees. In the 12th century there was a moated castle on the site of the Reinsdorf manor. In addition to the town of Reinsdorf itself, the neighboring towns of Zschiesdorf and parts of Lohnsdorf, Piltitz, Siedersdorf, Wölls and Zschernitz (east of Landsberg) belonged to the manor Reinsdorf .

As an official place, Reinsdorf belonged to the electoral or royal Saxon office of Delitzsch until 1815 , not far from the border with the archdiocese of Magdeburg and later the Prussian Saalkreis . Through the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , Reinsdorf came to Prussia in 1815 and was assigned to the Delitzsch district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony in 1816, to which he belonged until 1950.

In the course of the first district reform in the GDR in 1950, Reinsdorf, like the city of Landsberg, was assigned to the newly tailored hall circle , which in 1952 became the new hall circle in the Halle district . At the same time as it was assigned to the Saalkreis, Reinsdorf was incorporated into Landsberg on July 1, 1950. Today the place forms a district of the village Landsberg within the city of Landsberg.

Significant buildings

Reinsdorf owns a manor house, also known as the "castle", which used to be the seat of the Reinsdorf manor. It was built in the 16th century and rebuilt in 1656 under Diederich von dem Werder . In the 18th and 19th centuries, extensions and renovations took place. After 1945 the building was used as a children's clinic and an infant home. Later handicapped children, adolescents and young adults found a domicile in the house. After this home was given a new location in the village, the manor house was partially demolished in 2012.

traffic

Reinsdorf lies between the A 14 in the west and the A 9 in the east. The federal highway 100 , which leads from Halle in the direction of Bitterfeld , runs north of the town near Landsberg .

The Halle – Cottbus railway line runs south of Reinsdorf, and the nearest stations “Landsberg (b Halle / Saale) Süd” and “Reußen” are in the neighboring towns of Gollma and Reußen .
