Manfred Worm

Manfred Worm (born June 3, 1940 in Shanghai ; † January 13, 2013 in Memmingen ) was a German lawyer .

Career

Worm received his doctorate in 1968 from the Law Faculty of the University of Munich. Before his retirement he was the presiding judge at the Memmingen Regional Court . He was twice appointed by the Bavarian State Parliament as a deputy member of the Bavarian Constitutional Court.

From May 1984 to April 2008, as a member of the SPD, he was a member of the district council of the Unterallgäu district , where he was a member of the Personnel and Social Committee. In the 2008 local elections, Worm narrowly missed re-election. In the district election of 2002 in the Unterallgäu district he ran against the incumbent Hermann Haisch , in the district election of 2003 in the district of Lindau (Bodensee) he was defeated by Klaus Henninger .

From 1985 to 2000 he was the founding chairman of the Memmingen local association of the German-Israeli Society and vice-president of the Israelite religious community in Swabia-Augsburg .
